Clean, Repair, or Replace?
Cleaning is all you need when the gutters are straight, holding their line, and not leaking at the corners, but overflow in heavy rain. In Augusta that’s usually pine straw.

Start with what the roofline does in heavy rain, because that single detail narrows it fast. Water going over the front edge in one spot is almost always a debris blockage. Water spilling along an entire run points at undersized trough. Water dripping between the gutter and the fascia means the back edge or the hangers.

Can several gutter services be done on the same visit?
Usually, and it is normally cheaper that way because the setup and travel happen once. Cleaning plus repair is the most common pairing — debris comes out, then the low spots and loose hangers that the debris was hiding get corrected.
Guards and cleaning go together by necessity, since guards should never be fitted over a dirty trough. Replacement and drainage work also pair well, because the downspout drops are already being moved.
Is a cleaning included when new gutters or guards go on?
With a full replacement there is nothing to clean — the old trough leaves and new aluminum goes up empty. With a guard installation the trough has to be cleared first, so that clearing is part of the guard job rather than a separate charge.
On a repair the answer depends on the fix. Correcting pitch on a packed run means clearing it first, so we price it as one job.
How long does each type of gutter work actually take?
A straightforward cleaning on a single-story home is an hour or two. Most repairs are a half day. A full seamless installation or replacement on an average Augusta home is a single day, since the runs are rolled on site rather than ordered in.
Guard installation runs a half to full day depending on linear footage. Underground drain lines are the outlier — trenching adds a day or more depending on the run and how wet the clay is.
Do I still need guards if I already pay for cleaning twice a year?
